4. Felton Davis III will bounce back for 100-plus yards

Brian Lewerke struggled a bit against the Terrapins last season as he was quick to tuck and run with the ball and he only completed 11-of-24 passes for just over 150 yards and an interception. He has better weapons this season. OK, most of his targets are the same, but guys like Darrell Stewart Jr. and Felton Davis III have matured incredibly.

Neither of those two veteran receivers caught a pass last season against the Terrapins, but that will change this week as Davis III will have yet another 100-yard game.

After catching 20 passes for 276 yards and three touchdowns against Northwestern and Penn State, Davis III was held without a reception against Ohio State. Is he angry about that? You better believe it, and he’s going to show that on the field Saturday as a matchup nightmare for the Terps.

It’s not easy to match up with a 6-foot-4, 195-pound athletic wide out like Davis III, and Maryland is going to find that out the hard way. He’ll finish with 143 yards and a touchdown on seven receptions. Another big day for Davis III.
