2. Game will be centered around epic quarterback duel

Despite the interceptions by JT Barrett, of which I’ve predicted another three, I do believe that the quarterback duel between him and Brian Lewerke will be talked about for the rest of the year.

Lewerke is an up-and-coming star in the Big Ten while Barrett has been around for a while and knows what it takes to win these big games. Lewerke will make some poor decisions every now and then and will make one or two on Saturday that lead to an interception and a near-pick, but he usually rebounds well.

Last weekend, Barrett had the worst game of his career and he won’t replicate that against the Spartans’ suddenly-porous secondary. He will pass for over 300 yards and have a couple tipped passed end up as interceptions and only one will truly be his fault. He will look like the Barrett of old.

Lewerke, on the other hand, will have his third straight great game against a secondary that was gashed by Nathan Stanley last week. He will pass for over 300 yards yet again. Barrett, too, will have over 300 yards and each will finish with two touchdowns in an “anything you can do, I can do better” battle.
