3. Felton Davis III has another 100-yard game

It’s been a great season for Felton Davis III. The junior receiver from Virginia admitted recently that he used to expect his natural talent to give him an advantage at the collegiate level and would even go into some games blindly without watching film. Well, not anymore.

Davis III has been a magician on the field. He seems to come up with the toughest catches and he makes them look easy. He’s accounted for 45 receptions for 586 yards and eight touchdowns on the season, looking like the Spartans’ next potential Big Ten Receiver of the Year candidate.

Coming off the best game of his career against Penn State, Davis III is going to build on the confidence he gained and finish with yet another 100-yard showing, pushing him over 700 yards on the year. He will catch eight passes for 120 yards and a touchdown and his stock will continue to rise.

It’s been a couple years since Michigan State had a sure-handed target (Aaron Burbridge) but Davis III might be the most gifted wide out Mark Dantonio has ever coached. He is going to add to his legacy in a big way Saturday afternoon.
