A. . WR. Michigan State. WIDE RECEIVERS

What else can we say about the receiving corps? This might just be the best position group on the team, and I say that knowing that the linebacking corps are just as consistent. The receivers might be the biggest surprise, though.

Let’s start things off with Felton Davis III. He is truly becoming one of the best wide outs in the Big Ten, if not the country. With his big 6-foot-4 frame, he’s able to win 50-50 balls and use his strong hands to pluck the ball at its highest point. He’s becoming a major threat for defenses and proved that against Penn State with 12 catches for 181 yards and a touchdown.

Darrell Stewart Jr. has also been a consistent contributor and a guy who has exceeded expectations as a redshirt sophomore. He finished with five catches for 65 yards and a touchdown against the Nittany Lions.

True freshman Hunter Rison had three catches for 52 yards, including a couple of diving receptions late in the game to set up a touchdown. Fellow first-year wide out Cody White also played well, catching five passes for 51 yards.

Tight end Matt Sokol dropped a key pass late in the game, but had two receptions for 15 yards and freshman Matt Dotson added one catch for 12 yards.
