Michigan State basketball will play its final exhibition game of the year with a matchup against Hillsdale on Friday night.

Michigan State has won two games to start the 2017-18 season. No, those contests didn’t count toward the Spartans’ actual record, but a couple of exhibition wins usually help when it comes to building chemistry for the regular season.

The Spartans were shaky in the exhibition opener against Ferris State last week, but bounced back with a nice win over Georgia and Yante Maten on Sunday to raise money for hurricane relief. That win had to make Tom Izzo feel a little better, especially since Josh Langford rebounded nicely from his 0-for-12 effort against Ferris State.

Miles Bridges is back for his sophomore season to win a national title and it will take a full team effort to do so. Unfortunately, the Spartans suffered their first injury of the season as junior Kyle Ahrens went down, aggravating a foot injury. It looks like he might take a medical redshirt this season and come back next year at full strength.

Hillsdale College comes to town on Friday night and the Spartans are looking to finish exhibition play unscathed.
