1. Michigan State flips 2018 football commit

How bold am I? Well, I do believe Michigan State will get a chance to flip an in-state recruit. This isn’t based on anything that I’ve read or heard, but rather the fact that I think the looming pledge from Kalon Gervin, which I’m also predicting, coupled with the commitment of 2019 tackle Spencer Brown will make an already-committed 2018 recruit rethink his decision.

Some of the committed prospects I’m thinking of could see what Michigan State has done this season and want to be part of the bright future. Guys like Antwan Reed (Penn State), DeAndre Square (Kentucky), Marquan McCall (Kentucky) and Ovie Oghoufo (Notre Dame) could be taking notice.

Sure, each of them is committed to a school that could be considered “on the rise” this season, but there’s something about staying close to home and playing for a team that you grew up watching and decided not to commit to because of off-field issues and a 3-9 season.

Word on the street is that some players who had shut Michigan State out this past offseason have since reached out, but who knows who they might be. Heck, it might not even be a local kid, but this is my boldest prediction.
