3. Kalon Gervin to Michigan State is done deal

The trend for Kalon Gervin to Michigan State has been a positive one lately. In fact, he has been trending toward the Spartans ever since they started winning this season. There was plenty of doubt coming from the city of Detroit after the lackluster 2016 campaign and subsequent offseason, but the tides have turned, especially after a win over Michigan.

Gervin recently named a top five and said that he was going to announce his decision at the beginning of December, but will there be time for another school to swoop in and earn a commitment from the Detroit-native? I’d guess not.

Although Virginia Tech is a good bet to contend with the Spartans until the end, Mark Dantonio has build a relationship with him over the past couple of years that Justin Fuente just doesn’t have yet. The stud defensive back from Cass Tech will basically be a Spartan by the end of the month and the commitment ceremony will be the icing on the cake.
