1. Never doubt Mark Dantonio

If there’s one thing you should never do as long as you’re a fan of the green and white, it’s doubt Mark Dantonio. Heck, even media members and opposing fans should take notes. Doubting arguably the best coach in Michigan State history is a silly move as he has made a living coaching with a chip on his shoulder.

Before the season began, there were fans calling for his job, there were opposing fans saying his run was over and media members were questioning if he could right the ship. Through six games, all the doubt has left the air.

Michigan State went on the road to beat Michigan in a game where no one gave the Spartans a chance to win. Not his own fans (for the most part), the media nor casual football viewers. Michigan was the overwhelming favorite to run away with a run, but Dantonio got his players up for the game and they beat the No. 7 team on the road.

Dantonio has turned a 3-9 year and a subsequent nightmare offseason into fuel for a huge 2017 campaign. Michigan State has surpassed its win total from 2016 in just five games and are in the Big Ten title race. Who would have seen that coming? Don’t doubt this guy.
