Replacing a legend at tight end in Josiah Price is not an easy task for any player. However, Matt Sokol has done a good job thus far.

The Spartans have not passed much in the last two games because of weather, but this is a game where they will need Sokol to take that next step. Sokol can be a dangerous weapon in this Spartan offense. He is quick and more athletic than previous tight ends.

The Spartans think much of his athleticism because they attempted to give him the ball on a jet sweep that did not work out. It’ll be interesting to watch how much this offense has progressed since the Iowa game.

Sokol has had several dropped passes through the first few games. He will need to step up to keep this offense from getting stagnate and sluggish.
