2. We should be worried about LJ Scott

Through five games, LJ Scott was averaging just 3.7 yards per carry and had just 214 total with one touchdown. He looked like a shell of his former self and was running with no confidence, even coughing up three fumbles which turned the fan base against him.

It’s not easy going into a season with expectations to be the best running back since Le’Veon Bell, but that’s what Scott had to deal with. Everyone was telling him how great he was going to be, and it seemed to cloud his mind. He had to fight off the notion that he was going to be great and just go out and prove it.

Three fumbles later and he was considered the second, maybe third option in the run game. He missed the Michigan game with an undisclosed injury, but returned against Minnesota in a big way. While he didn’t get the start, he had the best game of his career, rushing for 194 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries. He looked like his old self.

While he did lose a fumble in the game, he bounced right back and scored a touchdown on an impressive drive. As long as he can continue to excel against adversity like he has been, there’s no reason to worry about him.
