1. Mark Dantonio’s track record after big wins

After big wins, Mark Dantonio has been exceptional at not allowing letdowns to take place. That streak of good fortune will continue against Minnesota on Saturday evening. Although the Gophers’ defense presents a tough test for Michigan State, Dantonio is good at not allowing his team to get too high or too low after wins and losses.

The Spartans head to Minneapolis riding an emotional high, but don’t count out the fact that the head coach has been here before. He has beaten Michigan eight times during his tenure in East Lansing and after those victories, the Spartans have come out strong and avoided a hangover in the following game.

Let’s face it, Minnesota is struggling right now while Michigan State is trending up. The Spartans will take advantage of a down Gophers squad and put together their first win outside the state of Michigan this season.
