Michigan State. WIDE RECEIVERS. C+. . WR

The wide receivers and tight ends had a rough day for Michigan State, and it was likely because of the torrential downpour that was taking place over Michigan Stadium. The first half saw much more passing success than the second half, but the Spartans dropped some key passes.

Not sure what the final tally was, but Michigan State’s receivers and tight ends dropped at least three passes and one would have led to either a touchdown or field goal right before the half. Trishton Jackson had his mitts on a wide open potential first-down reception, but was busy thinking about what he was going to do after he caught it and took his eyes off the ball.

Darrell Stewart Jr. led the way and had the best game of all the receivers, catching three passes for 42 yards, including an impressive concentration-filled one-handed grab. Just watch:

Stewart Jr. continues to impress and he even had an impact in the run game, rushing for 13 yards on three carries.

Matt Sokol had three catches for 14 yards, Felton Davis III had a 9-yard reception andHunter Rison had an 8-yard catch. Quiet overall day from the receivers and tight ends and it was mostly because the rain halted any pass game. Still, too many drops.
