Felton Davis III has stepped up this season. I will admit that I had my doubts coming into the 2017 campaign as I thought for sure Trishton Jackson would break out as the No. 1 receiver. However, the chemistry between Brian Lewerke and Davis III is undeniable.

Jackson may still yet break out and be the receiver that many thought he would be this season, but that still remains to be seen.

Davis III was co-Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week in the Big Ten after the Iowa win with his nine receptions and 114 yards and two touchdowns. His 6-foot-4 frame aided him as Lewerke threw the ball up and he went and snatched it for his second score.

The sophomore will get many opportunities Saturday night because both starting corners are 5-foot-10 for Michigan. This makes Davis III a matchup nightmare for the maize and blue. Look for Lewerke to go Davis III early and often.
