Michigan State football takes on Michigan at the Big House Saturday night. Here’s why the Wolverines will come out on top.

Mark Dantonio has won seven out of 10 games against Michigan. The Wolverines still hurt from the 2015 “trouble with the snap” play on their home turf. Michigan is a difficult team to decipher.

The Wolverines beat up on a Florida Gator team with a true freshman quarterback, however, Wilton Speight threw two pick-sixes. This Michigan team has immense talent on both sides of the ball, but most notably on the defensive side. It always recruits well and Jim Harbaugh has taken it up several notches.

Their defense has dominated, yet their offense has put them in difficult situations. Michigan toyed with Florida and Air Force for a bit, before turning on the jets. Purdue gave the Wolverines a run for their money for a few quarters as well. Purdue knocked Speight out of the game and it appears he will be out for some time. John O’Korn stepped in and did an excellent job. However, he did throw an interception but can be a bit of a gunslinger.

Michigan State is also a confusing team to figure out. The defense looks adequate one week and the next appears to dominate. The offense is rolling one week and then struggles the next. Both teams are still figuring things out because both teams have many new faces starting.

The Spartans have more new starters than Michigan, while Michigan has a defense that may be forced to carry the team. Here are five reasons why Michigan will beat MSU.
