3. Spartans upset Penn State to become bowl eligible

We all saw what happens when Penn State hits the road to play a late game in a hostile environment: Iowa was second away from upsetting the Nittany Lions. Heading to East Lansing for a big Week 10 battle, the Nittany Lions will look to keep their Big Ten title hopes alive while the Spartans attempt to play spoiler.

Penn State will be riding a 7-1 or 8-0 record heading into this game and the confidence of the Nittany Lions will be at an all-time high. Yes, this team is impressive, but so far in 2017, it hasn’t proven anything.

James Franklin has had one good season withPenn State and two average ones. Heck, he was on the hot seat not too long ago after a blowout loss against Michigan in 2016. How quickly things can change, though. He has steered this program back around, but his team will be tested on the road against a growingly-confident MSU team.

Michigan State will be 5-3 heading into the game and a win ensures bowl eligibility. You think the Spartans are going to lay down and let Penn State walk all over them when a bowl is on the line? Nope. Michigan State will pull off the upset, 33-30, in East Lansing.
