3. Le’Veon Bell’s leap vs. Notre Dame (2012)

Sometimes we forget just how fun it was to watch Le’Veon Bell in the green and white. We probably didn’t realize it at the time, but Bell was one of those once-in-a-generation type of backs that take the nation by storm, and he did that in his two breakout seasons, and solid freshman year, at Michigan State.

One thing he’s always been known for is his patience. On top of that, he’s elusive and can make defenders regret trying to over-aggressively tackle him. He can pull out a spin move to put defenders on skates or he can leap right over them. He likes to do the latter a lot, and he proved that against Notre Dame in 2012.

Le’Veon was known for leaping over defenders and making them look silly, and he did just that against the Irish in 2012 — despite the loss. Take a look:

Although the Spartans lost 20-3 and had their worst season since 2009 under Dantonio, Bell was a major bright spot for the team. He pulled off leaps like this and put up over 1,600 yards before declaring for the NFL draft.

Now, Bell is one of the best running backs in the NFL. He will forever be remembered for this hurdle of a Notre Dame defender as its featured in hype videos for MSU every year.
