Michigan State football is getting a major visit from four-star defensive end Malik Vann on Saturday for the Notre Dame game.

Just when it looked like Michigan State football had to move on from four-star defensive end Malik Vann, he has scheduled an official visit to East Lansing. While it may just be for him to take advantage of his officials before they’re exhausted, he will be on campus Saturday for the Notre Dame game.

According to Rivals, Vann only plans to visit Michigan State this fall, though, outside of Cincinnati — where he is currently pledged to.

This past spring, it was a major shock when Vann decided to commit to Cincinnati and spurn the Spartans. Michigan State was considered the leader in his recruitment, but he decided to go a different route and pick the Bearcats despite having a good friend in Josiah Scott in East Lansing.

However, now that Scott is starring as a true freshman for the Spartans, Vann could be having second thoughts. The Rivals article also stated that the Spartans seem to be a legitimate threat to flip Vann from the Bearcats. If Scott has another big game against Notre Dame Saturday, expect the flip watch to be in full force.

Notre Dame was actually a favorite for Vann for some time before the coaching staff told him there was no longer a spot at the defensive end position for him. He had seemingly missed his chance. He picked the perfect game to officially visit for.

Vann is ranked the No. 289 overall player and 12th-best strong-side defensive end in the 2018 class, per 247Sports. The Fairfield, Ohio, native might still be underrated at that spot.
