Luckily, the Spartans will be taking on Western at nearly full strength on Saturday. There were no major injuries from the green and white in Week 1, which is always a good sign. Still, there will be some guys who miss Saturday’s game.
According to Chris Solari of the Detroit Free Press, these are the players on the Week 2 injury report:
Michigan State: WR Brandon Sowards (ACL), out for season; OT A.J. Arcuri (undisclosed), doubtful; S Jalen-Watts Jackson (undisclosed), questionable; DE Demetrius Cooper (leg), RG David Beedle (leg) and C Brian Allen (leg), probable
Western Michigan: LG Curtis Doyle (undisclosed), out; RB Matt Falcon (knee), questionable; C Jon Keenoy (foot), probable
It appears Western Michigan has no major injuries to report while Michigan State’s Sowards and Arcuri look to be the only two guys basically ruled out. Jalen Watts-Jackson is questionable, but he may not see the field anyway.
Michigan State will need Demetrius Cooper healthy in order to help generate a pass rush against the Broncos and both David Beedle and Brian Allen are likely to play.
