Michigan State Football: 4-star RB Ronnie Walker commits to Indiana
Michigan State football missed on one of its biggest targets in the 2018 recruiting class in four-star running back Ronnie Walker.
Announcing his decision on Monday afternoon, four-star running back Ronnie Walker was choosing between Michigan State, Indiana and Virginia. He had previously talked about the Spartans and Hoosiers being his top two, but added home-state Virginia to his final three.

However, he didn’t go with the Spartans, instead picking Indiana who seemed like the favorite for the past few weeks. He had visited the Hoosiers and loved the campus and coaching staff. It wasn’t a huge shock that he picked Indiana.
Want to feel some salt in the wound, though, Spartan fans? Indiana’s running backs are coached by none other than Mike Hart. The former Michigan running back is known in East Lansing for his infamous “little brother” comments following a Wolverines victory.
Although he’s long removed from that, he still haunts Spartan fans and did so yet again on Monday with the commitment of Walker.
Michigan State is still looking to land its first running back in the 2018 class and many believed it would be a two-man combo between Harold Joiner, Walker and Eli Collins. It could still end up that way, but Joiner will be tough to win over.

Walker is ranked the No. 319 overall recruit and 13th-best running back in the 2017 class, according to the 247Sports composite.
