The Spartans continue to compete with the Buckeyes no matter the situation, but playing in Columbus this year could change that. They battled to an ugly 17-16 defeat in East Lansing last season, but repeating that performance will be difficult, as will 2015’s 17-14 win in Columbus.

Once again, Ohio State will have one of the better defenses in the country after holding MSU to 16 points last year, even while LJ Scott ran for 160 yards.

On the other end, if the Spartans hold Ohio State to 17 points again, everyone will be surprised. The Buckeyes still ran through them with Mike Weber and J.T. Barrett both going for more than 100 yards. With another loaded lineup, and in Columbus, this game could get away from Michigan State if it doesn’t find as much room on the ground as the last meeting.

Score Prediction: Ohio State 27, Michigan State 14 (5-5, 2-5 Big Ten)
