Logan Brown, a 2019 four-star offensive tackle from Grand Rapids, Mich., was one of the bigger names who appeared in East Lansing on Monday afternoon.

According to Sean Scherer of 247Sports, Brown is on campus Monday for the start of Michigan State’s fall camp.

While he’s not exactly a name that has been tied to Michigan State much, he will be one to keep an eye on as the year progresses. Michigan is the current favorite to land him, but the Spartans are due to win one of these in-state battles for a top prospect.

In fact, the Wolverines have won the last couple with Ryan Hayes and Jalen Mayfield. If the Spartans can beat out Michigan for Brown, that would be a huge victory.

Standing 6-foot-6 and 285 pounds, Brown looks the part of a potential starting left tackle at the next level and the Spartans could use some depth in the trenches.

Brown is listed as the No. 86 recruit in the country for 2019 and the 10th-best offensive tackle, according to 247Sports. He’s also the state’s No. 2 prospect. He holds offers from Michigan, Wisconsin, Alabama, Kentucky, Louisville, Minnesota, North Carolina, Penn State, Pitt and Virginia Tech. He’s still waiting for his Michigan State offer.
