One NFL Network analysts believes that former Michigan State football star Le’Veon Bell to the Lions in 2018 is not completely out of the question.

Have you ever wondered what the Lions would look like with former Michigan State football star Le’Veon Bell in the backfield? You’re not alone.

While the Lions could use a run game, one analyst believes that they could make a run at Bell when he becomes a free agent in 2018.

According to NFL Network analyst Kyle Brandt, as highlighted by Pride of Detroit, he believes that the Lions could land Bell following the 2017 season.

“I would love to see him in Honolulu Blue with the Detroit Lions. They need that running back. Ameer Abdullah, we’re waiting, we’re waiting. That’s what I would love. Stafford would love it. The Lions would love it.”

Well, he’s not wrong. The Lions desperately need a run game and when Bell becomes a free agent in 2018, it wouldn’t be a total shock to see them go after the Ohio-native and former Spartan. That all depends on what Abdullah can put together in the 2017 campaign, though. If Abdullah can break 1,000 yards, the Lions will likely stand pat.

Plus, Brandt added that he believes ultimately Bell will remain with the Steelers.

Brandt’s colleague, and former NFL running back, Tiki Barber also weighed in, saying that he believes the Indianapolis Colts could make a move for him. Imagine an Andrew Luck and Bell backfield in Indianapolis. Now that’s scary.

What’s even scarier is a Bell-Stafford connection. Those two could feed off each other and Stafford has been desperate for help in the run game so pressure can be taken off his arm.
