Former Michigan State basketball star Travis Trice is playing well in NBA Summer League action and is pushing for a roster spot.

Although his NBA Summer League push is over, former Michigan State basketball star Travis Trice is patiently waiting for a call from an organization regarding his future in the league.

Trice, now in his third year removed from Michigan State, recently signed a deal with the Brisbane Bullets in Australia’s professional basketball league — the NBL. However, he played well with the Milwaukee Bucks in Summer League action and could be pushing for a spot on someone’s roster.

What may hold him back is the fact that he’s not the ideal size for an NBA point guard as he’s slight of frame and mildly undersized. However, he has the moves and the accurate shot to earn him a place in the league — just as Bryn Forbes.

Everyone remembers Trice as a lights out 3-point shooter, but he brought out some new moves in recent NBA Summer League action.

There are unbiased members of the media, and just NBA fans in general, who believe Trice is worthy of a spot in the league and his play during Summer League ball proved it.

During the past few weeks, he scored in the double-digits a couple of times and showed solid court vision with good assist numbers. He’s not your prototypical NBA point guard, but he can shoot, pass and defend.
