4. Explosive 2018 RB Harold Joiner plans his visit

Surprise struck Spartan fans everywhere when it was reported that four-star running back Harold Joiner from Birmingham, Ala., had Michigan State at the top of his list. He had never stepped foot in East Lansing and barely knew the coaching staff, but one thing stood out for him.

During a recent interview with Luke Srodulski of Land of 10, Joiner revealed why he liked the Spartans most. Depth at the position would be thin following the 2017 season and Joiner knows he can come in and compete with Weston Bridges and Madre London as a freshman.

Moreover, he said that he would likely be paying Michigan State a visit for “maybe their first home game.” That’s still almost two whole months away, but it’s never too early to start planning. He will schedule that visit by the end of July with the coaching staff and fans circling the date on their schedules.

The last elite running back to commit to Michigan State was L.J. Scott and Joiner, too, has the look of an instant game-changer. He’s ranked the 56th overall recruit in the class and third-best running back, according to 247Sports.

If he doesn’t visit by the end of summer, he will give Michigan State an official.
