On Friday afternoon, the elite running back from the 2018 class cut his list in half, including Michigan State in his loaded top six.
As you can see by his top schools, it’s going to be an absolute dogfight until the end to land Joiner. Alabama, Auburn, USC, UCLA and Texas will be battling Michigan State for Joiner and it’s going to be an interesting process.
Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio has already made one heck of a pitch to the four-star from down south. He basically told Joiner that he could be the guy next season and that he’s their top back on the board right now.
Joiner went on to say the Spartans lead for his services.
The comparison to Le’Veon Bell is a fair one, even though it might seem like a stretch. The young running back from Alabama has excellent vision and is patient enough to wait for an opening in the line. Moreover, he has enough concentration in the passing game to become a dual-threat back — he can catch and run at an elite level.
When running backs are threats to catch the ball out of the backfield, the offense becomes that much more dangerous.
