People are inevitably going to knock the commitment, especially this early in the process from an unranked recruit, but Alexander has the athleticism and skill to be a solid special teams contributor for the Spartans early on. It may not seem like a home run get, but Alexander is quick and elusive enough to be a return man in his first few years while buried on the depth chart at wide receiver.

Making the switch from quarterback to wide receiver didn’t seem like that big of a deal for Alexander as he committed to Michigan State almost instantly after receiving an offer. His offer sheet isn’t long, nor impressive, but his exposure has also been minimal.
