Michigan State football made the cut for three-star 2018 wide receiver Tyleek Collins from Savannah, Ga.

Georgia has been kind to Michigan State football coach Mark Dantonio over the years, and he’s hoping to find another diamond in the rough from the Peach State. Three-star 2018 wide out Tyleek Collins from Savannah, Ga., could be just that.

Collins is a new name for Spartan fans, but being named in his top 11 schools means that we will be hearing a lot more from him in the coming weeks and months.

While it’s not exactly the top recruiting target in the 2018 class for the Spartans, Collins still has a unique skill set and what he brings to the table could be beneficial as a future slot receiver.

As you can tell, Michigan State sticks out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of the program that made the cut. Also making his top schools are Colorado State, Western Kentucky, Troy, Illinois, Ball State, Appalachian State, Florida Atlantic, Georgia Southern, Indiana and Middle Tennessee.

Michigan State should be the favorite in this scenario, but it all depends on how he’s prioritized by the coaching staff. Will they honor a commitment from him if there are guys higher on their board?

Collins was offered by the Spartans back in January and that seemed to be his best offer yet. He’s been looked at by schools such as N.C. State, Georgia, Clemson and Miami and even offered by Kentucky, but he looks like a Group of Five program talent who could fit in with the right system at a Power Five program.
