Incoming Michigan State football kicker Cole Hahn has quite the leg, as evidenced by this 65-yard field goal in practice.

Goodbye, Michael Geiger. Hello, Cole Hahn. Michigan State football has to find a replacement for the departing kicker who led the Spartans’ special teams over the past few years and it’s likely they found one in the form of an incoming freshman.

OK, so Hahn may have to work to earn a starting spot, but if his recent workout which featured a 65-yard field goal is any indication, the Spartans may have found a stud.

Michigan State fans didn’t know much about Hahn until he visited on April 27 and received an offer, committing shortly after. He was set to join Iowa in 2017, but a scholarship from the Spartans changed things.

The 5-foot-10, 195-pound kicker from West Des Moines brings a heck of a leg to East Lansing, listed as the sixth-best kicker in the 2017 class. While he didn’t get many scholarship offers, he proved himself worthy during his senior season. Can he follow the footsteps of the solid kickers before him at MSU?

One thing is for sure, if he can drill 40-plus yard field goals with accuracy, he will be a legend at Michigan State. The Spartans have been looking for a consistent kicker in recent years, and Hahn might be just that.
