It didn’t take long after getting the offer from Tom Izzo to commit to the green and white, and he seemed to be ecstatic about how the offer came about. He had worked hard for it and nothing was handed to him along the way.

On Tuesday, he made it official and committed to Michigan State via his Twitter page.

The Belleville, Mich., native is one of the top recruits in the state of Michigan and has been a focal point on many Midwest program’s radar of late. He joins four-star Foster Loyer and four-star Thomas Kithier as the other pledges in the 2018 class.

Brown says he models his game around Kevin Durant’s and might be the replacement for Miles Bridges in the 2018 class. Although Bridges is bigger and stronger, Brown is still growing into his frame, standing nearly 6-foot-9.

Moreover, Brown has the capability to play any position from the one through the four, he says. He will be able to create his own shot as well as set up others. He has the ability to handle the ball well and can make mid-range and 3-point jumpers. He is an all-around threat who is rising quickly in the prep ranks.
