Michigan State recruiting extended an offer to 2018 four-star small forward Gabe Brown from Belleville, Mich.

The offer Gabe Brown had been working for finally came over the weekend. The four-star small forward from Belleville, Mich., promised his late father that he would earn an offer from Michigan State, and he did just that while camping with the Spartans on Saturday.

While he went to East Lansing, hoping to earn an offer from Tom Izzo, he knew that it wouldn’t just be handed over because his recruitment had been taking off. No, he had worked years for this, and it finally paid off.

Brown posted the news on Twitter with the hashtag “RIPDAD” attached. Before his father passed away, he told his son to work for this offer and he did.

Was this the offer that would seal the deal in Brown’s recruitment? Izzo sure hopes so as Brown has been one of the top players in the state of Michigan over the past year and he’s gone from unranked to the No. 129 overall recruit in the 2018 class, according to 247Sports. Moreover, ESPN just bumped him to the No. 86 overall recruit.

However, there are some who believe that Michigan could be the leader if they offer because of his recent unofficial visit to Ann Arbor, but this MSU scholarship could be the game-changer.
