Michigan State football offered three-star 2018 Minnesota running back commit Nolan Edmonds on Wednesday.

There’s a trend these days in college football recruiting. Once a recruit commits to a certain school, there’s a good possibility that others will continue to court him. For Nolan Edmonds, that’s what he’s been experiencing over the past couple of months, now gaining interest from Michigan State.

Edmonds, a three-star running back from Atlanta, Ga., committed to Minnesota back in mid-March but has been receiving scholarships ever since. In fact, he’s been offered by Middle Tennessee, Pittsburgh, Army, Louisville, South Alabama and Appalachian State since his verbal pledge.

On Wednesday, Michigan State became the latest program to offer the three-star stud from SEC country.

Edmonds isn’t the typical back in which the Spartans usually target, but his 5-foot-10.5, 205-pound frame is attractive to Mark Dantonio and the rest of the coaching staff.

As you can see from his highlights above, he’s one of the shiftiest backs out there. He can make a subtle move, but it’s just enough to get the defender off his track and turned around. He can also catch the ball out of the backfield and his shorter frame actually helps him stay low to the ground, making him tougher to bring down.
