The talented linebacker’s last offer was from Michigan State in April and he’s a star on the rise. He’s currently being courted by multiple major programs, but his visit to Michigan State next month could be an important one.

According to Rivals.com, the three-star linebacker will be taking a visit to East Lansing in July. The article attached to the tweet by Jim Comparoni below is premium content.

While he’s listed as a four-star linebacker on Rivals, he’s a three-star composite on 247Sports. He’s listed as the No. 365 overall recruit and 25th-best outside linebacker.

The Calabasas-native stands 6-foot-2 and weighs in at around 210 pounds. He’s tough, physical and athletic. His quick reaction on the snap makes him a perfect threat to blitz. In fact, he often plays up at the line of scrimmage and is used in blitz packages.

Ed Davis was the last Spartan linebacker to be used in that regard and Chris Frey dabbled with it during his sophomore season before dropping back during the 2016 campaign. Could Hughes be used as a blitzing linebacker for Michigan State and bring back the physicality to the Spartan defense?
