Michigan State Recruiting: 4-star DT Trevor Trout showing interest
Michigan State recruiting drawing interest from four-star 2018 defensive tackle Trevor Trout from Saint Louis, Mo.
There a relatively new name on the radar for Michigan State recruiting. Mark Dantonio is working hard to make an impression on four-star defensive tackle Trevor Trout from Saint Louis, Mo., who is one of the top recruits in the 2018 class.

Dantonio’s hard work seems to be paying off, ever so slightly.
In fact, Trout released a list of schools that he is interested in moving forward with on Twitter earlier this week, including the Spartans. Although the list is 19 programs deep, the Spartans join a number of elite schools in the running for him.
Trout says he open to new offers and interests, but the schools he is looking more closely at are the ones that follow. Other Big Ten programs to draw interest from the four-star from Missouri include Penn State, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa and Illinois. The Big Ten is the second-most represented conference on his list behind the SEC.
Michigan State is desperate for defensive line depth and Trout would instantly fill a need. He is strong up front and his 6-foot-3, 315-pound frame makes him nearly impossible to block.

Trout is ranked the No. 158 recruit in the 2018 class as well as the 15th-best defensive tackle, according to the 247Sports composite. He is bigger than most offensive linemen he lines up across from. Michigan State fans are now salivating at the idea of adding this guy up front.
