Michigan State recruiting missed on another elite offensive line target in four-star 2018 offensive guard Marquan McCall.

Mark Dantonio hasn’t had the best luck with top offensive line recruits over the past few classes, but he has still managed to put a couple of guys into the league. With that being said, Michigan State missed on another elite offensive line target in four-star guard Marquan McCall Monday.

McCall surprised just about everyone when he announced that he’d be continuing his football career in Lexington with the Kentucky Wildcats.

Kentucky had been trending for McCall, but he had been looking like a kid who might decide between Michigan and Michigan State in the end. The Oak Park, Mich., native decided to pick the up-and-coming SEC program, though.

The Wildcats haven’t had much success on the gridiron in recent years, but with the way they’re recruiting lately, they should be able to at least become a respectable opponent week in and week out.

Dantonio and Co. missed out on another offensive line target to the SEC late last week as three-star guard Blaine Scott chose Ole Miss over the Spartans and a few others. Before that, it was Antwan Reed (Muskegon-native) who picked Penn State. Will they be able to land at least one of the remaining offensive line targets in the class?
