Michigan State Recruiting: 4-star 2018 PF Marcus Bingham Jr. offered
Michigan State recruiting has offered four-star 2018 power forward Marcus Bingham Jr. from Grand Rapids, Mich.
Just when it looked like Michigan State was zeroing in on a few players in the 2018 class, Tom Izzo decided to extend an offer to four-star big man Marcus Bingham Jr. The in-state prospect has been rising quickly in the recruiting ranks and would be a nice post addition.

While Michigan State already has Thomas Kithier committed, he might could use other bigs to complement him. With potentially 5-6 spots opening up in the 2018 class, there could be room for Bingham Jr., Brandon Johns and Trevion Williams to come aboard.
Just imagine the type of haul that would be. That would give Michigan State a top-150 prospect in Kithier as well as three top-100 recruits in the post. It would make sense that Izzo is trying to beef up the post again seeing as Ben Carter, Gavin Schilling, Miles Bridges (more of a three) and potentially Jaren Jackson Jr. will be departing next season.
Heck, even Nick Ward flirted with the idea of entering his name in the NBA Draft this year, but decided it wasn’t time. Will he leave next year?
If so, Bingham Jr. would be even more of a crucial addition. He’s been blowing up lately and has added offers from Washington, Bradley, Purdue, Xavier, Butler and Pitt just within the last week, or so. Now that the Spartans have offered, they might be the program to beat.
