Michigan State Recruiting: 5-star 2018 SG Luguentz Dort offered
Michigan State recruiting has offered five-star 2018 shooting guard Luguentz Dort from Orlando, Fla.
On the same day the Michigan State coaching staff extended an offer to a new 2018 big man in Marcus Bingham Jr., Tom Izzo also offered five-star guard Luguentz Dort.

Besides having one of the best names of any recruit in recent memory, Dort also has an impressive skill set for a guard. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound guard, originally from Canada, is dominating the high school landscape in Orlando, Fla.
Dort is an explosive guard who has the instincts of a point, but can also play the two. He is strong with the ball in his hands and can create for others while also putting it on the floor and conjuring his own offense.
The Spartans are in desperate need of wings after missing out on guys like Blake Harris, Mark Smith and potentially Brian Bowen in the 2017 class. Dort could fill a need right away and join an impressive 2018 class that already includes point guard Foster Loyer and forward Thomas Kithier.
With 5-6 scholarships to open up, potentially, in 2018, Dort could act as the main wing take from the class — maybe Hameir Wright as well (if he doesn’t reclassify to 2017). He would push for major minutes right away and back up a guy like Josh Langford on the wing.
