Michigan State recruiting has extended an offer to 2019 offensive tackle Spencer Brown from Walled Lake (Mich.) Western.

Visiting Michigan State multiple times this winter and spring, 2019 offensive tackle Spencer Brown was hoping for an offer. He had developed a strong relationship with the coaching staff. Enough so, in fact, to earn himself an offer on Wednesday.

Brown is a hard worker and this tweet is evidence of that. He uses the hashtag “earnednotgiven” to show that he is working hard for each offer and they aren’t going to just land in his lap. It took a while, but Michigan State finally felt the time was right to extend an offer.

That could be partially due to the fact that he has been blowing up in recent weeks. Not too long ago, Brown had offers from just a couple of MAC schools. Now, he has 15 offers which include the likes of Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Minnesota, Louisville, Iowa State and Indiana.

Although he’s not yet ranked by recruiting services, his athleticism is evident, especially on the defensive side of the ball. He will be a top-tier recruit when he finally is ranked. He shows quickness off the ball and is deceptively fast for his size. Michigan State could utilize his versatility.
