One of the NFL’s dying breeds has to be a strong, physical fullback. While some teams still value this position when it comes to blocking in the run game, it’s not nearly what it used to be back in the 1990s and early 2000s.

Still, a guy like Prescott Line could be considered extremely valuable to the right team. He’s considered one of the top-three fullbacks in the class and while some have him listed as a seventh-round projection, I could see him going even higher.

What really launched his draft stock, for a fullback, was his performance at Michigan State’s pro day a few weeks back. He put up 39 reps on the bench, which is an incredible mark for any position. That shows his strength and ability to keep up with guys at the next level. He won’t be afraid of contact and blocking even the strongest defenders.

Look for him to go in the mid-to-late sixth round next week. The Oxford, Mich., native excelled as the starting fullback in his one season in East Lansing.
