This is an interesting offer to a prospect with offers from Appalachian State, Eastern Kentucky, and Western Kentucky. While many recruiting services list him as 6-foot-3, 225 pounds, his Twitter adds about 15 pounds to that. He plays for George Walton Academy from Monroe, Ga. Zanders plays defensive end, and is able to play outside linebacker.
Zanders has an explosive first step off the edge and excellent closing speed. He holds his position well shedding blockers to make plays in the backfield. He utilizes the swim move to sail past offensive tackles. He is an athletic player, who plays basketball for his high school.
Why is a player of this caliber possesses so few offers? If a player did not make it to the correct camp or event then many recruiting services will miss on them. Zanders is has the athletic prowess the Spartans need on the edge.

There’s a reason he received an offer from the Spartans and the staff may have gotten in on him before he truly blows up.
