Earlier in the day, he tweeted out that everyone should meet him at the Spartan Statue at around 6 p.m. for an announcement. Those keeping up with the latest updates regarding his decision knew that this would be the announcement. Would he be coming back, though?
It turns out that all the speculation regarding his return was true. Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo!‘s The Vertical dropped a major “Woj Bomb” on Wednesday when he revealed that Bridges was “leaning heavily” toward returning to Michigan State.
Now, the Spartans will be able to move forward with offseason plans, including planning out a roster with two spots available, assuming Ben Carter doesn’t return. That means that Tom Izzo can figure out which two recruits, and/or grad transfers, he wants to target in the offseason.
Since Bridges is back, that likely means that Brian Bowen will be headed elsewhere. The two are almost certainly not going to play together. Brandon McCoy, on the other hand, could be attracted to MSU even more.
