In fact, according to the latest Rivals150, the service bumped Jackson Jr. up the highest, in terms of top-10 recruits. Although he was already ranked No. 10 in the previous version, he received a bump to No. 6, flirting with that top five. That makes him a higher ranked recruit that Miles Bridges was last year.
Moreover, he becomes one of Tom Izzo’s top-rated recruits of all time and joins an elite crop of players to be named a McDonald’s All-American and play for the green and white.
Jackson Jr. will have a major role for the Spartans next year with his 7-foot-4 wingspan and ability to open the floor with his 3-point shooting prowess for a big man. He has to be the Spartans’ most intriguing prospect, outside of Bridges, since probably Gary Harris, Branden Dawson or Adreian Payne.
