Michigan State Basketball: Miles Bridges to announce by weekend?
Michigan State basketball star Miles Bridges is reportedly leaning toward returning and an announcement date may come this weekend.
A few months back, Michigan State basketball fans were trying to envision a team that included Miles Bridges the incoming 2017 recruiting class. Of course, it was just a dream scenario, but that is now starting to look more possible.

On Wednesday afternoon, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! and The Vertical reported that Bridges was ‘leaning heavily’ toward returning. So when would he announce his potential return?
Shortly after the “Woj Bomb”, Michigan State insider Rico Beard revealed that his source told him the announcement should be done by the weekend.
Well, that’s pretty big. Just a few days ago, fans were speculating on whether he might decide by the deadline and now the announcement could come as soon as this weekend. Not just that, but the chances of him returning seem better than not.
Michigan State has been patiently awaiting word from Bridges on whether or not he would decide to head to the NBA, but it’s looking more likely that he returns for his sophomore year. That would give the Spartans quite a roster in 2017-18.

If Bridges announces by the weekend, that would take a lot of pressure off Tom Izzo in finding a replacement, scholarship-wise. Also, that would give him an extra scholarship for 2018 as he wouldn’t use it on a multi-year player for 2017.
