Future Michigan State basketball star Jaren Jackson Jr. is currently starring for Team USA at the Nike Hoop Summit.

It hasn’t taken long for Jaren Jackson Jr. to burst onto the national scene. The 2017 Michigan State basketball signee recently played in the McDonald’s All-American Game in Chicago and then followed that up with a victory at the Dick’s National Championship with La Lumiere.

On top of that, he’s now playing for Team USA at the Nike Hoop Summit this week and he’s been impressing just about everyone who has watched.

In fact, just take a look at what Rivals national basketball analyst Corey Evans had to say about Jackson Jr.

That’s high praise coming from a guy who watches elite basketball recruits on a daily basis. He thinks Jackson Jr. could wind up being one of the five best players from the 2017 class. He is, however, ranked in the top 20.

During the Hoop Summit game on Friday, Jackson Jr. showed off for Team USA, leading it in scoring heading into the half and finishing with 13 points and 10 rebounds — including seven on the offensive end.

Oh yeah, and he had a nice dunk to add to his highlight reel.

If Jackson Jr. adds some weight in the offseason and bulks up about 10-15 pounds for next year, he could be one of the top big men in the entire country. He’s been improving steadily throughout the year.
