Michigan State recruiting made the top five schools list of four-star outside linebacker Dallas Gant from Toledo, Ohio.
The term ‘dream school’ usually refers to one that a recruit has grown up loving. Michigan State has been referred to as just that for four-star linebacker Dallas Gant from Toledo, Ohio. He has been high on the Spartans for some time and now he’s taking it a step further.

On Monday, the nation’s top outside linebacker announced his top five schools, which shouldn’t surprise anyone. It’s a Big Ten-loaded list, but the Spartans have some work to do if they’re going to wrestle him away from the likes of Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame and Penn State.

Gant is the No. 25 recruit in the country, according to 247Sports, as well as Ohio’s second-best prospect in the class of 2017. He’s on pace to be a five-star before he steps foot on a college campus, but where will he play?
The favorite right now has to be Ohio State since it’s the home-state school and he’s been gradually developing a strong relationship with Urban Meyer and the rest of the staff. Don’t sleep on Michigan, either, as they’ve joined the party late, but have been making a strong push.
The 6-foot-3, 225-pound linebacker has decent size and good lateral quickness. He can break on a ball-carrier quickly and even make plays in the backfield. He would be a welcomed addition to the Spartans’ young, athletic linebacking corps.

Gant is planning on making a decision on his birthday, May 16. The Spartans will hope to get one last visit before that happens.
