Jim Boeheim calls out Michigan State basketball’s NCAA Tournament bid
Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim is not happy that Michigan State basketball made the NCAA Tournament over the Orange.
It’s impossible to make everyone happy. In fact, Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim is upset with the fact Michigan State made the 2017 NCAA Tournament and his Orange did not. Syracuse finished with an 18-14 record and Michigan State was 19-14.

What is his problem with the selection of the Spartans as a No. 9 seed? Well, he believes his three top 10 wins (Virginia, Duke and Florida State) were better than anything Michigan State had on its resume.
According to Brad Crawford of 247Sports, Boeheim appeared on ESPN‘s Mike and Mike radio show Monday morning and called out the Spartans specifically.
"“I love Michigan State, but they lost 14 games and they didn’t have as many good wins as we had,” Boeheim said. “Southern Cal, they always talk about did you challenge yourself in the non-conference, they obviously didn’t and their two wins were at home. There’s a little inconsistency there, but at the end of the day, it is what it is and there isn’t as much consistency as maybe you would like to see.”"
The legendary coach definitely has a gripe with not getting in, but his strength of schedule as well as RPI were nowhere near that of Michigan State. Plus, Syracuse’s best win in non-conference play was against Monmouth — not exactly a sparkling resume.

I guess Boeheim has to settle for the NIT after having a rough season with no good wins outside of conference play. That’s what happens when you have a cupcake schedule.
Oh yeah, and don’t lose to St. John’s (14-19) by 33 points.
