Alex Solak is a guard from Menasha, Wisc., and stands 6-foot-2 and 291 pounds. He will be attending a Michigan State lineman technique camp in June. I was able to interview Solak and he mentioned that there is mutual interest, but no offer yet. Many recruits are offered at camp when they impress and Solak could be one of those players.
Solak is the type of player who not only is a hard worker, but has the athletic prowess that MSU is searching for. I watched his film and he effortlessly bursts out of his stance to pull and engages defenses with violence. Alex is also interested in Michigan and USC, but has not been offered yet.
Learning to overcome failure in The EFT for OL/DL training was a huge obstacle for Alex, however, he put in the work in order shine. When he first competed in the combine competitions he lost and pondered if “winning was just impossible” yet he never gave up. He determined that he would succeed therefore he during the next year he got up at 3:30 a.m. to start his workouts with the goal of winning in the EFT competitions.
The hard work that Alex put into his workouts paid off when he took OL MVP at the NUC’s Ultimate Top 100 in Texas.
