Michigan State basketball took on the Cornhuskers Thursday night and Miles Bridges threw down one of the best alley-oops you’ll ever see.

We all know Tom Izzo doesn’t like too much flash and flare. However, the Michigan State basketball coach has to appreciate the play two of his freshmen made on Thursday night against Nebraska to give the Spartans a 12-point lead.

Cassius Winston recorded a steal and had a wide open, uncontested fast-break opportunity, but decided to pass the ball instead — off the backboard. He tossed the ball off the glass to a trailing Miles Bridges for the highlight of the night, igniting the Breslin Center crowd.

Check out one of the best alley-oops Bridges has had all season long, even if it’s not exactly something Izzo is a fan of.

Bridges led the Spartans in the first half with 13 points as they took an 18-point lead into the locker room which was capped off by an incredible half-court bomb by Winston.

The Spartans need to win this contest against Nebraska in order to keep their NCAA Tournament hopes alive. The victory would make Michigan State 17-11 overall and would keep them in the top-five in the Big Ten standings.

Other top first half performers were Nick Ward, Josh Langford and Winston. Ward had 10 points and four rebounds, Winston had three points and seven assists and Langford scored nine.
