Michigan State Recruiting: Spartans trending for RB Cordarrian Richardson?
Michigan State recruiting seems to be trending for four-star running back Cordarrian Richardson from Memphis, Tenn.
Abdul Adams may be the reason the coaching staff is currently charging after one of the biggest running back names in the 2017 class. The former Michigan State pledge de-committed from the 2016 class and that meant that the Spartans went without a running back in last year’s cycle.

So what does that have to do with 2017? Well, the coaching staff wants to make up for that back-less class and bring in two this time around. First, Weston Bridges, a three-star running back from Ohio, committed and then he tore his ACL. Just to be safe, the staff is gauging the interest of Cordarrian Richardson, a Clemson de-commit.
Richardson rescinded his verbal to the Tigers a couple of weeks ago and has already planned a visit to Michigan State for Jan. 13. On Thursday, 247Sports‘ expert on all thing Michigan State recruiting related, Sean Scherer, placed a Crystal Ball in favor of the Spartans.
While I tell people not to read into Crystal Balls too much, Scherer usually only does so if he has knowledge of the situation. He interviewed Richardson this week and got the feeling that the Spartans are in a good position.

It’s very possible, but he’s taking a couple of other visits before he decides. It seems to be down to a handful of schools such as Clemson, Florida State, Oregon and MSU for the Memphis-native.
Richardson is ranked the No. 75 prospect in the country and sixth-best running back, according to 247Sports.
