Michigan State Football: 7 players who’ll earn 1st-team All-Big Ten honors
Another kid who is looking to follow his brother’s footsteps in the green and white, Riley Bullough is close to eclipsing his brother’s legacy. While he won’t break his brother’s marks when it comes to career tackles or tackles for loss, there’s a chance he could finish on the same type of high as Max did.
The elder Bullough finished his senior campaign with 76 total tackles, 10 for loss and 1.5 sacks, but missed the Rose Bowl due to an in-house suspension from Mark Dantonio. He broke team rules and paid the price for it.
Riley enters his senior season just as Max did, coming off his career-high in tackles and tackles for loss. The younger of the two had 106 total tackles, 7.5 for loss and four sacks in 2015 to go along with two forced fumbles, two pass deflections and two interceptions. He looked more like his older brother than ever before.
Earning second-team All-Big Ten honors was huge for the junior middle linebacker, but he knew that he was capable making first-team. He is the unquestioned leader of the defense and everyone else looks up to him. Not only that, but he’s a monster when it comes to aggression.
Expect first-team honors to be on the way for Riley.
