1. Langston Frederick, 3-star CB

Looking for the next Darqueze Dennard? It may just be three-star cornerback Langston Frederick from League City, Texas. He took an official visit to East Lansing back in April before the spring game and loved what he saw. He was on campus for multiple days and many believed he would commit on the spot.

Since then, all has been relatively quiet on the Frederick front, but he is still high on the Spartans. Just a couple of weeks ago, it was reported that Michigan State and Missouri were his top two teams and that could be a problem for the Spartans as the Tigers offered on May 27.

Frederick camped at Michigan State this past week and that may have helped Dantonio get to know him a little better and see him in person. Sometimes coaches tell players to hold off on committing until they can see what they are capable of in person, and that could be the case here.

Don’t be shocked to see him commit this summer and the Spartans are in excellent shape with him.

Standing 5-foot-10, 175 pounds, Frederick sticks to receivers like glue and is also not afraid to go up and hit a guy, even if the ball-carrier is much larger — which is often the case.

Langston is ranked as low as anyone on this list, coming in as the No. 1,018 overall prospect and 103rd-best cornerback, according to 247Sports. However, his talent is hard to overlook.
